Ribbon Card             Project Images

This card is easy and works up quick. It is perfect for kids or adults to create, and can be used for a Birthday card, Mother's Day card, or Father's Day card.

Supplies

  • Tan or light colored piece of cardstock and construction paper.
  • Two colors of ribbon (wire ribbon works great here) - one in solid blue, the other in blue and silver.
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Cut cardstock to 10" x 7". Fold in half.

  2. Cut two colors of ribbon to approx. 6 1/2" each (3 pieces of the sliver and gray ribbon, 2 pieces of the solid blue ribbon).

  3. Put glue on the back of one silver and gray ribbon.

  4. Attach to the front of the card along the spine, over hanging the ribbon on both the top and bottom of the card.

  5. Put glue on the back of a solid piece of ribbon, attach it next to the first ribbon, leaving some space between the two.

  6. Continue adding ribbons to the card, alternating colors.

  7. Leave room on the front of the card for a special message.

  8. Add glue to the back of the overhanging sections of ribbon and attach each to the inside flap of the card.

  9. Close the card and cover with a heavy book. Let dry.

  10. Cut a piece of construction paper in a coordinating color with the card. Cut it slightly smaller than 5"x7".

  11. Attach the construction paper to the inside cover of the card, covering the ribbon edges.

  12. Using a marker, write a message on the front and inside of the card.
