This card is easy and works up quick. It is perfect for kids or
adults to create, and can be used for a Birthday card, Mother's Day
card, or Father's Day card.
Supplies
- Tan or light colored piece of cardstock and construction paper.
- Two colors of ribbon (wire ribbon works great here) - one in solid
blue, the other in blue and silver.
- Craft glue
- Scissors
Instructions
- Cut cardstock to 10" x 7". Fold in half.
- Cut two colors of ribbon to approx. 6 1/2" each (3 pieces of the sliver and
gray ribbon, 2 pieces of the solid blue ribbon).
- Put glue on the back of one silver and gray ribbon.
- Attach to the front of the card along the spine, over hanging the
ribbon on both the top and bottom of the card.
- Put glue on the back of a solid piece of ribbon, attach it next to
the first ribbon, leaving some space between the two.
- Continue adding ribbons to the card, alternating colors.
- Leave room on the front of the card for a special message.
- Add glue to the back of the overhanging sections of ribbon and attach
each to the inside flap of the card.
- Close the card and cover with a heavy book. Let dry.
- Cut a piece of construction paper in a coordinating color with the
card. Cut it slightly smaller than 5"x7".
- Attach the construction paper to the inside cover of the card,
covering the ribbon edges.
- Using a marker, write a message on the front and inside of the card.
