Here are a few tips for creating a meaningful wedding
scrapbook that you'll cherish for years to come.
-
Include pages leading up to the big day
The day you meet your spouse, special dates, Valentine's
day, your engagement, engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette party. These are all important moments leading
up to the wedding day and should not be overlooked when
telling the story of your relationship's journey.
- Also include a special "Day of" section
Depict how you and your spouse spent the day of your
wedding. Did you get your hair done somewhere special? Did
your sister do your nails? Did your bridesmaids get ready
with you at your parent's house?
- Journaling
Don't forget one of the most important parts of
scrapbooking. No matter how well you remember all the
special moments of your wedding, you may not remember it so
well in 5 years. How about in 10 or 20 years? Include your
recollections of moments with your family or special
friends, times when you laughed or cried. Be specific and
draw on your feelings of the day.
- Include swatches and other mementos in your scrapbook
You don't need to save every last decoration or memento.
Include photos of the decorations, flowers, dresses, etc.
and then cut out small swatches or pieces of items such as a
bridesmaid dress swatch, a piece of ribbon or other
decoration. A small piece of fabric, or a dried
flower could spark a full-sized memory for years to come.
