The following list provides ideas for filling and decorating
gift baskets.

Fill
a basket with any one of the following suggestions:

Homemade cookies and other sweets (personalized to the tastes of the
receiver).

Candles of varying sizes and complimentary colors.

Small pots of flowers. Glue pressed
flowers or fake flowers around the outside of the basket.

Picnic supplies
(dishes, glasses, snack foods, wine, etc.)

Fresh fruit
(strawberries, oranges, peaches, grapes, cherries, raspberries, etc.)

Homegrown
vegetables from your own garden.

Seashells in
assorted sizes and shapes. Glue on small shells to the outside of the
basket in various patterns.

Fresh and dried
herbs and flavored oils (makes a great gift for a chef or someone who
loves to cook).

Fragrant sachets.

Snack foods and
soda.

Crackers and cheese
assortment.

Holiday decorations
(for Halloween, Thanksgiving,
Christmas, etc.)

Small pumpkins and
gourds.

An assortment of
Christmas ornaments.

Create a
Valentine's Basket. Use a heart shaped basket if available or make one
of your own. Fill it with various combinations of the following items.

baby's breath

Figurines like
doves, hearts, etc.

Heart shaped soaps

Small chocolate
hearts

Strawberries and
chocolate

Create a craft
basket as a gift for a fellow crafter. Fill with:
