Instructions for simple string necklaces or bracelets:

  1. Cut a piece of nylon beading thread (or stretch bead cord) to desired length. Knot around a safety pin.
     
  2. Using a beading needle (for beading thread), string beads onto the thread.
     
  3. Follow your preferred pattern below, alternating colors as indicated.
     
  4. Remove the needle and the safety pin when finished stringing beads. Knot both ends of the thread to finish off the necklace or bracelet.

Pattern 1



Beads: This project uses beads from the following bead kit:
The Beadery Craft Products: elements 1274H - 374 Blue.

Pattern: String a small dark blue bead, then a larger lighter blue bead (alternating shapes and sizes as you go) and then another smaller dark blue bead. Continue until your desired length is achieved.


Pattern 2

  • Beads: Blue, pink and white glass rocailles (30 gms.)
     
  • Pattern: String 10 pink beads, 10 blue beads, and then 10 white beads. Continue until your desired length is achieved.

Pattern 3

  • Beads: Gold bugle beads (30 gms.), white round pearl beads (4mm), and white pearl beads (3x6 mm)
     
  • Pattern: String a round pearl bead, a bugle bead, a 3x6 pearl bead, a bugle bead and then repeat the pattern again until the desired length is reached.
